The congress was held from Feb 16 to the 19, 3 days if I’m not mistaken. And throughout the 3 days, mobile (not limited to phones) companies showcased their range of to-be release or released products/services.

Pity I couldn’t be there.

In this recession, quite a number of my friends are having some trouble moving on in their career. Some have even lost their jobs due to the reduction of staff count, where others are getting pay cuts.

It’s time like such that you feel fortunate if you had saved up for rainy days like such. Unfortunately, I am not one who have much saved up in my bank account.

Thankfully, cutting down on un-necessary expenditure is more than enough for me to get through this difficult time.

Seems like this year it’s holiday-less for me.

PriceGrabber.com checked the top 25 laptops and it turns out 48 percent are netbooks with the Acer Aspire One taking the top slot.

Others included in the list where the Samsung MC10, the HP Mini 1000, the Lenovo S10, but only one other Eee PC made the list and that was the Eee PC 900HA and was virtually near the bottom of the list.

Ironically, I have an Eee PC myself.

Apart from the appearing in the papers and becoming the topic of bloggers’ ranting, has this “association” affected ANYONE yet?

One thing is clear, the association has somewhat united the bloggers in Singapore after all. Ever since their establishment “went live” numerous bloggers have been blogging hand-in-hand about the same topic – the association.

Now, I question myself, why am I blogging about this too? Bummer.

Dear girl, in modern society, anything is possible even if he is a bear or otherwise.

I could have, I can, I should, I have not.

I could have bought tickets and took a plane.
I can still spend time with the folks.
I should really stop thinking and start acting.
I have not done anything yet.

Ultimately, I am still here and I guess this is where I belong?

During an event last week, the Webby Awards event at Velvet Underground has shown how bad things can go wrong when you least expected. And how bloggers tend to react to such “bad experiences”.

IZ says, “It started late, some guests were even seen leaving, internet connection not working, speakers did not make any sense, one even had the audacity to include a racist remark, and at the end of the event, you could even hear some boos.”

Sab says, “In conclusion, I’d have to say this is the most boring, ridiculous and absolutely POINTLESS event that I’ve attended, period.” She added, “I would agree with IZ that the sausages were the highlights of the event but I’m not too heart up on sausages so, pretty much nothing worked for me.”

What has the third blogger, Priss got to say? Well, for now – nothing.

Sab and her boyfriend (who she refers to as Teddybear) have decided to come up with a new blog AGAIN.

This time round she does seem a little more focus and determine to pull it off. At least that’s what it seems like so far – 3 entries for this year to date.

The new blog is called Family of Bears. Apparently her boyfriend and herself are in some kinda of “bear-relationship”. Everything revolves around bears, which can be quite disturbing if it gets to you – which it hasn’t, yet.

I’m going to stick around just to see how things go. Maybe, just maybe I might come up with something like that for this blog too? Although, I’ll have to say, this domain name is rather disturbing for me. I’m not exactly a “ahsahei”, not quite at all.

It’s quite funny really. Every since Sab and her ex broke up (thank god), this blog has been passed on from one person to another. Finally when the domain was to expire. Yahoo (unfortunately) screwed up yet again and the domain got renewed once more at USD34.99 more then three times it’s usually price.

To not waste the $$$, this blog was passed on to me. Surprise-surprise.

Now, since it’s the start of a new year. Lets all make the best of it.

Thinking back, 2008 has been such a tiresome year for me and the gang. Since we graduated, we all had to enter society starting from ground zero. After months of suffering, finally everything has stabilise and we’re finally starting to get used to this new lifestyle.

Let’s pause for a while and continue this get-to-know session some other time.
